It’s all about the present future
These are turbulent times on Planet Earth. Human activities and exponential growth are contributing to natural resource depletion and adverse impacts of environmental degradation, including desertification, drought, land degradation, freshwater scarcity and loss of biodiversity.
Climate change predictions are increasingly tangible. High global temperature, sea level rise, ocean acidification, and even the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic that is keeping us all in vigil nowadays, are consequences of this global change. All these adverse impacts challenge sustainable development and pose at risk the survival of many species in our Planet, including ourselves.
NorsePure AS was forged in the materials the dreams are made of. From the genuine wish of clear Legionella away from our water systems, to potentially offer safe drinking water globally. Unsafe water sources lead to millions of deaths annually; therefore, disinfection is of unquestionable importance in the supply of safe drinking-water. The destruction of pathogenic microorganisms is essential and very commonly involves the use of reactive chemical agents such as chlorine.
However, chlorine disinfection has been proven ineffective against protozoan pathogens, like Cryptosporidium or amoeba (and, consequently, amoeba associated Legionella) and some viruses. Moreover, it results in the formation of chemical by-products, which can be a potential risk to our health and surrounding environment.
It is NorsePure AS’s desire to offer a safe and effective disinfection to everyone, being at the same time respectful with our environment. Our company is in line with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, which are vital for a recovery that leads to greener, more inclusive economies, and stronger, more resilient societies; specifically to the following:
Our company has a cooperation agreement with The Organization for International Economic Relations (OIER), which supports the United for Smart Sustainable Cities Implementation Programme (U4SSC).
U4SSC Implementation Programme builds on strong collaborative networks with cities, governments, international organizations, the UN, the private and finance sectors, in order to work together on concrete city solutions and projects and push new and improved models for public-private collaboration.
We are committed to change the present future of disinfection, making sustainable disinfectants accessible for all of us that are aware about the critical need of reducing our ecological footprint, making this planet habitable for all organisms now, and for the years to come.
